— Three Oakland police sergeants were shot and killed and a fourth officer was critically wounded Saturday in a pair of related incidents that together rank among the deadliest attacks on law enforcement in California history. A fifth officer, a member of the SWAT team that killed the suspect police held responsible for the shootings, was treated for minor injuries and released. The first incident happened about 1:15 p.m. when two traffic officers were gunned down after what police described as a “routine” stop of a 1995 Buick in the 7400 block of MacArthur Boulevard in East Oakland, not far from the Eastmont Town Center. About two hours later, after some 200 officers from Oakland Police, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, BART Police and the California Highway Patrol combed the area for the suspect, three SWAT officers were shot when their team found him hidden in an apartment on 74th Avenue near Hillside Street, police officials said. In all, two SWAT officers and one traffic officer died in the two incidents; one traffic officer was on life support late Saturday.

  1. The Oakland cops died for one reason and they will not be the last; THREE STRIKES LAW ! The guy pulled over had absolutely nothing to lose. A stupid “feel good” law killed those cops and many more citizens and cops will die because of it.

  2. I was very sad for the officers that were killed in this incident and including the victim. I have a lot of people to blame regarding this mess.

I too, was beaten by racist cops in California back in 1989. The results we won the case and the sheiffs had to pay me and my family $50 million dallors.

Who do I blame, the government, racist cops, parents, and the media.

The government (CIA) pushed illegal drugs into the ghettos’ of Oakland, poverty stricken areas, people with no jobs,,,knowing that the cops will be the only force to deal with it. They spent billions on wars and not enough to educate the poor…they keep neglecting it…soon a revoluntion will raise…have they not read the history books…cowards, they are the real theifs, liars and manipulators.

Racist Cops, these young idiots who live in cozy suburban communities, who don’t know $@#% about people of color and their neighborhoods…They come in with bias, anger and saving the world. They too get shoot and killed…They assume that everyone in the hood is a criminal, thug, prostitute, theif, and drug dealer.

Parents, more and more parents are not spending time with their kids, especially in ghetto areas like Oakland, there are more single parents then anywhere in the country. The government would not educate or spend money to help…continue to ignore the ghettos the results will continue to get worse and spill over…possibly an up rise with government take over…remember minorities will outnumber whites in the next couple of years 10-15 years…think about!! fix the problem now…by educating people…not revolution.

The Media, only six people control five of the major news networks in the world…The media is filled with progangda and race splitting. Nevertheless, they are one sided, never giving full account. They have influenced everything and anything.

We need to arm ourselfs as a people….white, black, brown, yellow, and green…live above the influence…take control, help each other,,,look beyond the color lines…this tradegy is sad…but lets prevent more…Oakland and every other ghetto will not be saved in a day…but educate the young to prevent. American Government will be over run if it continues to neglect its citizens,,, like Abraham Lincoln said, “the destruction of this country is not from abroad, but from within it”!

Take charge and change the world for the better!!!
